We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and spoke English, even assisting us in finding a nearby supermarket. The hotel facilities were clean and comfortable; we stayed in a spacious family room with a queen bed and separate single bed. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of both Chinese and Western dishes. Additionally, the hotel's location was relatively close to the main attractions of the city and conveniently located for transportation.
Nothing negative to report, our stay was excellent in every aspect.

Good room rates
Big structure, position not easy for ancient city (you always need a taxi), no one in the entire hotel was able to speak English!!! Cleanliness just acceptable.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff, apart from the check in staff at reception, were very friendly, courteous and helpful if you needed anything or had any problems. The buffet breakfast had a good variety to cater for a spectrum of international guests.
The staff at reception weren't very friendly and didn't ever seem like they knew what they were doing. A normally simple process or task took ages and you never felt confident that it was being done correctly.

Very helpful at check-in with english speaking assistance. Helped us to find a supermarket for supplies. Stayed in a family room - queen bed + a single bed in a separate room. Could fit a spare bed in the living/entrance area if needed. Mattress was firm but comfortable. Breakfast was ok - buffet with fair selection of western dishes + excellent chinese range. Helpful staff!

We had a great stay at Great Palace Hotel. The rooms were terrific - very big and comfortable and very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good and had lots of variety. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

This hotel exceeded our expectations with its luxurious facilities. the Spa & wellness centre was exceptional, offering a range of treatments that were truly indulgent. We also enjoyed the exquisite meals in the Restaurant, which exceeded our expectation.

Smoking in elevators, restaurants. Did not receive the room that we picked on Booked.net. Wanted to charge us for room.

Stayed at a luxury hotel during New Year season, prices in the city were affordable. the room had an amazing view of the city. the breakfast offered was a broad range of choices, from traditional to western dishes- we loved the egg station and the coffee. the location was ideal for getting around the city easily.
The staff didn't speak or understand English, making communication burdensome in different situations, as happened during check-in. the cleaning service didn't arrive until late afternoon, which was inconvenient timing.

Convenient Location: the hotel is located within a reasonable distance to main attractions in the city and also close to a supermarket. the room and bathroom are spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lot of attention to detail in terms of amenities. the staff are courteous and always ready to assist. Breakfast has a good selection of healthy dishes, which are a perfect way to start the day.
Difficult Communication: the language barrier can be an issue in this hotel, as not many staff members are fluent in English.

During my New Year stay at this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable beds and clean rooms. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and providing us with extra towels. The breakfast buffet was decent, with a variety of both western and Chinese dishes to choose from.
There were a few downsides to our stay. The hotel's location was not ideal, and we had a difficult time finding nearby restaurants or attractions.
